Absolute Beginners (UK-import)
Musical adaptation of Colin MacInnes' novel about teenage life in 1950s London. Set in 1958, young photographer Colin (Eddie O'Connell) falls in love with aspring model Crepe Suzette (Patsy Kensit), but her interests lie more in her budding career than in the affections of a man. When Crepe leaves town to pursue her dreams, Colin is taken under the wing of advertising executive Vendice Partners (David Bowie) who helps him realise that he can have his own career. The soundtrack includes songs by Sade, Tenpole Tudor and The Style Council as well as the title track by David Bowie.
