I am and have always been nostalgic. It is unusually easy for me to feel sentimental. When I think back and reflect on life, I feel more and more often melancholy. What is my purpose? What is my contribution? What will I leave? Will my artistic legacy endure and have a value that is regarded as timeless? For many I am an entertaining and humorous person and very often described as dynamic, both with and without my trumpet, however the tone of my instrument is sometimes associated with sadness. I am extremely grateful. I have a fantastic family and very many close friends. A wonderful life. Peter Asplund
