Steve Hoover directs this documentary following the activities of Ukrainian Pastor Gennadiy Mokhnenko, or 'Crocodile Gennadiy'. The collapse of the Soviet Union and the establishment of the independent Ukraine devastated much of what infrastructure and political and social services existed previously. As a result of a rise in poverty and child homelessness many children became addicted to injecting a mixture of cold medicine and alcohol. In the 2000s in Mariupol, Pastor Gennadiy began forcibly kidnapping the homeless children in the night and taking them to his rehabilitation centre. His controversial methods have drawn both admiration and consternation. The documentary uses footage captured over 15 years to delve into the life of Crocodile Gennadiy.
