Robert Knights directs this comedy based on the play by C.P. Taylor. Set in Newcastle during World War II, the story follows the lives of the Stott family, headed by mother Helen Stott (Joan Plowright). While Helen worries about the local church being hit by a bomb, dad Norman (Tom Watt) decides to pledge his allegiance to Communism.
