Angel (Cesar winning newcomer Clotilde Hesme) arrives at a remote Normandy fishing village and meets trawler owner Tony (Gregory Gadebois) via a lonely hearts ad. Finding 'true love' is the last thing on her mind, and her crude attempt to seduce Tony fails. Much to the dismay of his mother, Tony gives Angel a room in their house and a job working on the port. Angel has come to Normandy in an attempt to reconnect with her estranged son, who lives with his paternal grandparents due to Angel's tumultuous past. When the truth is finally revealed, Tony has to decide if he should help Angel fulfil her dream. The award-winning debut feature from writer/director Alix Delaporte is an arresting, intimate and a wholly unconventional love story about how two opposites, can be drawn together by their differences.
