Portuguese Western co-written and directed by Juliano Dornelles and Kleber Mendonça Filho. Teresa (Bárbara Colen) returns home to Bacurau for her grandmother's funeral and finds the sertão village decimated by a corrupt mayor and under attack from a band of wealthy American tourists. With no one coming to their aid, the villagers unite to fight back, boosted by the effects of a psychoactive drug.
