World premiere recordings featuring classical forms, world music, jazz, blues and American folk music by critically acclaimed composer Derek Bermel. Commissioned by Wynton Marsalis, the Migration Series has its roots in African American music and features Bermel as clarinettist, Mar de Setembro is a work inspired and performed by Luciana Souza, and A Shout, a Whisper, and a Trace honours Bartok’s last years in New York.
