Best Wishes From José Carreras (UK-import)
Collection of three performances featuring Spanish tenor José Carreras. 'The Vienna Comeback', recorded in 1988 at the Vienna State Opera, features works by, among others, Massenet, Puccini and Liszt with Vincenzo Scalera on piano. In 'José Carreras and Montserrat Caballé' soprano Caballé joins the tenor for a 1989 concert at Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre which includes music by composers such as Bellini, Vivaldi and Verdi. Filmed in 1990 at the Mission Dolores in San Francisco, 'Misa Criolla' sees Carreras perform Ariel Ramírez's work with the composer himself playing piano.
