Blue Bio-Resources comprises 14 peer-reviewed articles covering many aspects of the marine value chain from fisheries management and performance, fish farming and fish processing to consumer preferences. This anthology could be understood as an exemplification of how industry and academia are pushing the boundaries of scientific and technological progress to improve the utilisation and management of marine resources. Collectively, these examples demonstrate the great potential for value creation. Their availability to national and international scientific communities, industries, decision-makers, and educational institutions will lift the status of knowledge on value creation and the sustainable development of blue bio-resources.
