Richard Wilson presents this humorous look back at the life of a National Service conscript. Using excerpts from sitcoms including 'Get Some In' and films such as 'Carry On Sergeant', the film takes a light-hearted look at what life was like for those able-bodied young men who, between 1948 and 1960, were required to spend two years in either the army, navy or air force.
