THE JACKS, aka THE CADETS, from L.A., were the Modern/RPM group of labels' top vocal group in the mid-50s. Although both groups featured identical personnel, their lead singers differed; Willie Davis usually led The Jacks, while Aaron Collins and/or Dub Jones fronted The Cadets. They also backed artists like Donna Hightower, Young Jessie and Richard Berry, whilst various group members later recorded as The Flares, The Peppers and The Thor-Ables.
