What makes this 98:15 minutes collection superb is that although it covers styles from at least three of his classic albums (Kind of Blue, Sketches of Spain and In A Silent Way) it doesn’t contain material from any one of them. One of the highlights of the album is his “Circle In The Round” a 26-minute opus, featuring a Spanish style riff played on electric guitar by Joe Beck throughout the entire piece. On the grand finale of Circle In The Round Miles let you relax and zone out with Joe Zawinul, Billy Cobham, John McLaughlin and sitar player Khalil Balakrishna who takes you on a trip for 18+ minutes with David Crosby’s Guinnevere from the 1969 debut album Crosby, Stills, & Nash.
