Jérémie Rhorer conducts the Lyon Opera Orchestra and Chorus in this production of Thierry Escaich's opera based on Victor Hugo's short story. Recorded in March 2013 at the Opéra National de Lyon, the performance features Jean-Sébastien Bou in the title role with the rest of the cast including Jean-Philippe Lafont, Roberto Ferreira, Laurent Alvaro, Rémy Mathieu and Philip Sheffield.
