Florent Emilio Siri directs this biopic of the late French pop singer and songwriter Claude 'Cloclo' François. Tracking his life from his early years, the film follows the young François (Jérémie Renier) as he surmounts domestic problems with his dismissive parents, and sets out to break into the showbiz life he feels destined for. After garnering worldwide fame for his composition 'Comme d'habitude', which Frank Sinatra took to new heights as 'My Way', François quickly goes on to become one of the biggest pop stars in French history during the 1960s and 1970s. The course of events doesn't run altogether smoothly, however, as the star's mania for self-publicity and fame at all costs, soon cause problems in his private life.
