American horror based on the novel by Michael McDowell in which a young woman dies tragically as her frantic family plead with detectives to locate her whereabouts, believing she is missing. Things soon take a strange turn, however, when the local town is at the mercy of a terrifying figure which looks to seek vengeance on those who have wronged it.
