Biopic of US con man Barry Minkow (Justin Baldoni/himself). The film follows the young, charismatic con man from his early days in high school, during which time he founds ZZZZ Best and sends its stock skyrocketing through various fraudulent methods. However, Barry's activities catch the attention of FBI Agent Gamble (James Caan) and his scheme soon comes crashing down. After serving a 25-year prison sentence, Barry is released and turns his attention to working with the FBI and, having found God during his time behind bars, becomes a pastor. However, it's not long before he reverts back to his old ways and creates yet another Ponzi scheme.
