In 'Dead Rising: Watchtower' (2015), when reporter Chase Carter (Metcalfe) and his camerawoman Jordan (Keegan Connor Tracy) travel to a town under siege from zombies, they get themselves injected with the antidote Zombrex, designed to protect them from becoming one of the undead. However, when it is revealed that the latest strain of the virus has adapted to become immune to the vaccination, Chase and Jordan find themselves quarantined in a town full of hungry, flesh-eating zombies. In 'Dead Rising: Endgame' (2015), after returning to the zombie-infested East Mission, investigative reporter Chase Carter uncovers a government conspiracy which could threaten the lives of millions of people. After learning that General Lyons (Dennis Haysbert) plans to unleash a new, advanced strain of Zombrex, a drug developed by the military to track and ultimately kill the infected, Carter faces a race against time as he battles his way through the quarantined zone in a desperate bid to stop the release of the virus.
