Stephen and Julia are the parents of Michael, who has severe hearing and speech impediments. Michael's carer disappears and he is inconsolable. Julia reports to DCI Neil Paget the girl's failure to return after Sunday service. Paget encounters little hard evidence and no sightings of Justine leads to increased fears for her safety.
