American war adventure starring Edward G. Robinson and Glenn Ford. When the US Navy ship USS John Paul Jones is sunk by Japanese troops, veteran Steve Boleslavski (Robinson) does all he can to get assigned to its successor John Paul Jones II to fight once more for his country. When young soldier Mickey Donahue (Ford) gets bumped from his position to make way for Boleslavski however, tensions build but the men must work together when they once again find themselves under attack.
