(1967 James Carr). With the release of the album ‘Do Right Man’ there is finally a chance to hear Penn sings these great songs himself, as well as a few new ones that stand up very well to those colossus classics. Great musicians backing the great vocalist Dan Penn, who is honestly singing his heart out. This is what soul music has always supposed to have been.
