Feature drama directed by Tony Britten documenting the life of 16th century composer John Wilbye (Mark Arends). A much-respected composer in his time, John Wilbye was employed by Sir Thomas and Lady Elizabeth Kytson (Nicky Henson and Doon Mackichan) of Hengrave Hall from 1592 to 1628. While under their employ, Wilbye composed two books of madrigals and became the object of the desire of both Lady Elizabeth and her daughter Lady Mary Darcy (Sophia Di Martino).
