Keith Carradine plays Simon in this film about a world-weary ex-con who's now contemplating suicide. Leaving America, he returns to Iceland, the country where his mother was born and meets Dua, a free-spirited young woman who could also be his daughter. He helps her out of a tricky situation and as their friendship develops, he agrees to help her smuggle a prize falcon to Hamburg. Once considered the most prized export of Vikings, they hope it will resolve their problems by selling it to a wealthy Arab but there are unexpected dangers...
