Irene and Albert have a seemingly perfect marriage, which Irene is trying to preserve following an affair. However, when Irene becomes the subject of blackmail by her lover's jealous ex-girlfriend. The plot takes a dark turn. Released on DVD for the first time, this classic of Italian cinema is presented digitally remastered and accompanied by Rossellini's rare 1952 feature film The Machine That Kills Bad People.
