British band Smoke City debuted with 'Flying Away,' a lush trip-hop album with some hints of sultry South American music woven in there. Starting off with the fluidly sensuous "Underwater Love," (from the 1997 LEVI commercial) the album jolts into the smoky, thumping "Devil Mood," sexy ballads as the slow "With You," and the gentle "Giulietta", shimmery Latin music such as "Numbers," and the pleasant "Aguas De Marco", and an opulent trip-hop called, "Dark Walk" before wrapping up with the sweet title track "Underwater Love". On the album are all kinds of little interludes thrown in and Nina Miranda comments playful here and there.
