Friedrich Gulda's complete discography on Decca brought together in one edition for the first time. Marking 40 years since his final recording for the label (Beethoven Concertos, April, 1971), remastered for this edition in 24bit 192kHz and presented on a bonus Blu-ray Audio disc. The edition also includes many benchmark recordings including the Beethoven Piano Sonatas (Decca & Amadeo), Debussy's Préludes Books I & II, Ravel's Gaspard de la nuit, Chopin's Piano Concerto No.1 with Sir Adrian Boult, and Richard Strauss' Lieder with the soprano Hilde Gueden; and a work Gulda wholeheartedly embraced - the youthful Burleske. Included is a collection of recordings made for the Amadeo label from 1960-1981 Plus a live recording of Gulda with Chick Corea, previously issued on Philips.
