‘Grit’ is the third album by Norwegian band Madrugada in four years. This is pounding music without any reliance on volume. Recorded in Berlin with PJ Harvey producer Head, the album builds on Madrugada’s success of their previous albums which sold over 400.000 pieces. The opening track “Bloodshot Adult Commitment” is almost the trademark song for the ‘Grit’ album with a relentless Robert Burås bass-line and dirty ambience. The album also features one of the band's most well-known songs, the softly crooned atmospheric ballad "Majesty" where minor key acoustic guitars and strings dominate the sound.
