Katell Quillévéré co-writes and directs this French drama based on Maylis De Kerangal's novel. After being involved in a car accident, teenage surfer Simon (Gabin Verdet) lies comatose in the hospital, his life reliant on the machines around him, as the doctors outline the benefits of organ donation to his estranged parents. Meanwhile, in Paris, middle-aged musician Claire (Anne Dorval) eagerly awaits an organ transplant after learning that her heart condition is deteriorating and prepares herself and her family for the worst.
