Honey, I Shrunk The Kids / Honey, I Blew Up The Kid / Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves (UK-import)
Collection of the three 'Honey, I...' films starring Rick Moranis as eccentric inventor Wayne Szalinski. In 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids' (1989), Szalinski's latest project is his attempt to develop a machine that will shrink things, but so far it only explodes things. When his kids knock a baseball through his laboratory window, the ball activates the machine, so that when they go to retrieve the ball they are shrunk to a quarter of an inch high. Wayne sees the mess but not his kids, and he inadvertently sweeps them into the dustbin... In 'Honey, I Blew Up the Kid' (1992), Szalinski has invented and built a machine that will enlarge objects rather than shrink objects (or children). While in the process of demonstrating his invention, his two-year-old son gets in the way and is accidentally enlarged. He continues to grow until he is over 100 foot high. A comic tale of what happens when the tables are turned and people and buildings become playthings for a giant toddler. In 'Honey We Shrunk Ourselves' (1996), Szalinski succeeds in shrinking himself, his brother and their wives when yet another experiment goes wrong. They must try to make their way downstairs to attract the attention of their children, braving hazards such as a float in a soap bubble and a crash landing in a bowl of dip along the way.
