Classic fantasy drama directed by René Clair. After being burned at the stake by Jonathan Wooley (Fredric March) for practicing witchcraft during the 17th century, Jennifer (Veronica Lake) and her father Daniel (Cecil Kellaway) are brought back to life in the 20th century by a bolt of lightning. Determined to get their own back against the Wooley family, they track down Wallace (March), a distant relative of Jonathan's, and strive to make his life miserable by getting him to fall in love with Jennifer. However, in order to do so, Jennifer has to resort to her old tricks and concoct a love potion. Will everything go to plan?
