Il Burbero Di Buon Cuore: Teatro Real (Rousset) (UK-import)
Absent from Madrid's stages since 1792, having originally premiered in 1786, this comic opera by Vicente Martin Y Soler with libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte is revived at the Teatro Real in a modern setting by director Irina brook. In 1789 Mozart composed two 'substitute arias' for this opera which, given their musical superiority, have been inserted into this edition, sung by Veronique Gens.
