On Monday through to Thursday, Paul sees his regular clients - Laura (Melissa George), Alex (Blair Underwood), Sophie (Mia Wasikowska) and couple Amy (Embeth Davidtz) and Jake (Josh Charles) - while on Fridays Paul himself attends sessions with his mentor Gina (Dianne Wiest), revealing the crippling personal insecurities that belie his confident, insightful professional persona.
