Invincible (2001) (UK-import)
The year is 1932, and young Jewish blacksmith Zishe Breitbart (Jouko Ahola) travels to Berlin, where he has accepted an appointment to appear as a strong man at Hanussen's Palace of the Occult. His new boss soon asks him to perform dressed as the Aryan hero Siegfried in order to please the Nazi clientele, and despite his reservations, Zishe agrees; but when his mother sees him in costume he rejects the charade, and declares on stage that he is Jewish, which results in a riot at the club. Meanwhile, he gets to know the club's owner Erik-Jan Hanussen (Tim Roth), a clairvoyant and hypnotist who has secrets of his own. Written and directed by Werner Herzog.
