Stuart Burge directs this adaptation of the play by William Shakespeare in which Julius Caesar (Sir John Gielgud) returns to Rome after his triumphs leading the Roman army. Senators Cassius (Richard Johnson) and Brutus (Jason Robards) feel that Caesar's growing power is a threat to the liberty of Rome, and plot to assassinate him.
