Labyrinth Of Lies (UK-import)
Giulio Ricciarelli directs and co-writes this drama based on true events which centres on the reconstruction of Germany in the wake of Hitler's reign. Young and ambitious public prosecutor Johann Radmann (Alexander Fleming) finds himself drawn to a case on Nazi war criminal Charles Schulz, but is finding it difficult to make a prosecution as many of his former colleagues now populate the senior ranks of government. His enquiries and frustration results in his boss Fritz Bauer (Gert Voss) putting him in charge of the much larger investigation of looking into former Auschwitz workers. Using records from the Auschwitz camp, Radmann discovers evidence and details of over 8,000 former workers and sets about bringing them to justice. His research leads to some disturbing discoveries for himself and those close to him.
