Celtica is a 'progressive' Celtic band, based out of Nashville, Indiana. They are a multi-instrumental band, including hammered dulcimer, double-bowed psaltery, hurdy gurdy, field organ, brass wire-strung Scottish harp, piano/keyboard, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, bodhran, variety of bagpipes, penny whistles, folk flutes, vocals, and more. The core of the group is Tammera Lane, who is a classically trained pianist, and guitarist, Tim Dooley; both are seasoned musicians and performers. They have a variety of friends who perform with them as needed. Their hauntingly beautiful arrangements of traditional Celtic tunes are artistic and creative. They can be a high energy group, or more refined as Celtic 'chamber' music. Places where they have performed are the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis Artsgarden, all the major museums in Indianapolis, former President Mikhail Gorbachev, Indiana Governor, Indianapolis Mayor, Eli Lilly, Columbia Club, Murat, Indiana Landmarks, Honeywell Foundation, Pacer/Bull's half time, Broad Ripple Art Fair, corporate events, art events, schools, historical/educational events, churches, libraries, house concerts... Some accolades from fans and clients: Labyrinth Walk Review: My wife and I just got back from Iona and Britain, and your CD arrived in the mail that awaited us, and I was blown away with the Celtic flavor of it. I wept when I heard 'Be thou My Vision' by Tammera on the piano. And I appreciate your work with labyrinths--Waycross's et al. I'm a retired Episcopal priest and have served as chaplain for Waycross events and love their labyrinth there. Thanks for the music!
