In '45 Minutes from Hollywood' (1926) a young man gets into trouble when he stumbles into a bank robbery while visiting Hollywood. In 'The Battle of the Century' (1927) a fight manager looks to collect on his insurance scam. 'Pardon Us' (1931) follows two men as they end up in prison after trying to sell alcohol to a policeman during the prohibition period. Finally, in 'The Private Life of Oliver the Eighth' (1934) a pair of barbershop owners compete to win the affections of the same woman.
