Leshnoff: Symphony No. 4 (Heichalos); Guitar Concerto; Starbust
World premiere recordings. Symphony No. 4 was written for the Violins of Hope, a collection of restored instruments that were played by Jewish musicians during the Holocaust. The Guitar Concerto showcases Jason Vieaux who has recorded a Guitar Laureate disc 8.553449 as well as 8.553986. Leshnoff’s Symphony 1 was recorded on the critically acclaimed 8.559670. Leshnoff’s works are also featured on 8.559398 and 8.559721.
