The Stanley Clarke/George Duke Project is a genre defying soup of electro-funk, rock, r&b, smooth soul and fusion. There are crowd pleasing solos from all concerned and George Duke's smooth vocal stylings on the hits Sweet Baby and Brazilian Love Affair. Wild Dog and the duo's reworking of the ultimate American party song Louie, Louie come from their first album. The remainder of the set, Silly Putty and Rock'n'roll Jelly originally featured Clarke's Journey To Love and Modern Man releases. Performed at Denen Coliseum in Tokyo on the 24 July 1981 for broadcast on NHK-FM as part of the Live Under The Sky Festival, the boys give their all and have lots of fun doing it for a crowd who seem to be enjoying themselves way too much.
