Nils Janson is back with his fourth album, "Longitude", where he displays his strong development as a composer over the course of the last couple of years and further proves his position as Sweden’s most prominent jazz trumpet player. During 2018, Janson directed his gaze toward the world to collect new impressions. This search has resulted in several tracks with inspiration from both Central American Reggaeton and interpretations of Sri Lankan nature without losing his characteristic expression. Besides influences from the world Janson is keeping his clear musical language where modern American jazz meets Nordic melancholy under lyrical forms. The compositions are honest, deep and complex. The melodies are carefully considered and thought through which is presented by the quartets clean and exact performance.
