The Koln Concerts by Keith Jarrett remains one of the top selling jazz albums in history. In 1984, Eicher introduced the ECM New Series as an avenue to release a great catalog of Western Classical recordings. The series was created for the debut recording for the incredible genies of Arvo P rt. ECM has released well over a thousand album releases, most produced by Eicher himself personally.
