Robert Carlyle stars in this heartwarming dance drama in which a recent widower rediscovers hope after a chance encounter with a dying man. En route to a delivery, recently widowed baker Frank Keane (Carlyle) discovers a fresh car accident and a man, Steve (John Goodman), dying in the wreckage. Waiting together for the inevitable, Steve pleads with Frank to complete for him the mission he was on before the accident. From Steve's instructions, the trail leads Frank to Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing and Charm School where he planned to look for an old sweetheart. Here, Frank is gradually absorbed into the group of regular attendees - in particular Meredith Morrison (Marisa Tomei), a woman on the same subconscious quest as he. Frank soon discovers a passion for dance and, consequently, rediscovers his passion for living.
