Melartin: Complete Works For Male Choir A Cappella
Laulu-Miehet has done again a great Finnish cultural act. The choir recorded all the male choir songs by Erkki Melartin under the direction of Matti Hyökki. The majority of these songs Laulu-Miehet has also premiered in its concerts. Erkki (Erik Gustaf) Melartin (1875-1937) was one of the most significant and versatile composers of his generation, with six symphonies, orchestral and chamber music, 350 piano works, more than 300 songs, the opera "Aino", ballet "Blue Pearl" and much more.
