Academic Drawing at the Russian Art Academy XVIII-XIX centuries
This book showcases a collection of some of the best works by past students of the Russian Academy between 18th-19th centuries. It is a quality teaching aid that one can use to study good academic drawings. The large format is great for seeing overall drawing but where this book strikes gold is the subsequent spreads following each drawing with various blown-up detailed shots of the same image, giving you access to specific areas to study and observe the technique used. I really can not recommend it enough!
