John Sherwood directs this American sci-fi horror. After a black meteor crashes in the desert outside the town of San Angelo, California its fragments are scattered far and wide. After studying the rock's fragments, Professor Arthur Flanders (Trevor Bardette) and scientist Dave Miller (Grant Williams) discover that, when exposed to water, the rock causes those near it to turn to stone. Will they be able to save the town after towering black monoliths rise in the desert and more of its citizens become petrified?
