Frank Sinatra and Rita Hayworth star in this classic 1950s musical by Rodgers and Hart. Pal Joey (Sinatra) is a womanising nightclub singer who arrives in San Francisco with the dream of becoming famous. He toys with the affections of young chorus girl Linda (Kim Novak) but finds himself torn when rich widow Vera Prentice-Simpson (Hayworth) falls in love with him and offers to finance his own nightclub, but only if he marries her and cuts off all ties to Linda.
