Comic John Bishop stars in this made-for-TV comedy following the offstage politics of a pantomime. Morecambe DJ Lewis Loud (Bishop) is delighted to be offered the opportunity to star in a version of 'Dick Whittingham' and quickly seduces his co-star, soap actress Tamsin Taylor (Sheridan Smith). However, he doesn't get along so well with his director, Francis (Mark Benton), and producer Di (Samantha Spiro). When his young son Paul (Daniel Bishop) is suddenly placed in his care and Tamsin unexpectedly withdraws from the panto, events threaten to overwhelm Lewis. Will he manage to make his stage debut a success nonetheless?
