Biographical drama based on the 1973 classic which starred Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. French convict Henri 'Papillon' Charrière (Charlie Hunnam) is framed for murder and sent to a remote penal colony in French Guiana. Once there Charrière strikes up an unlikely friendship with wealthy counterfeiter Louise Degas (Rami Malek) and together the pair attempt a daring escape.
