Paris-Dakar Rally 1987 (UK-import)
A review of the 1987 Paris-Dakar motor rally. 1987 was the first time the event ran following the death of founder Thierry Sabine, and saw Peugeot entering the fray with its desert-raiding adaptation of the turbo-charged 205 T16, and signing up World Rally Champion Ari Vatanen for his first major event since his life-threatening crash 18 months earlier in Argentina. But could the French marque overcome the challenge from two factory-supported Mitsubishi teams, led by Andrew Cowan, the mighty Range Rovers of Patrick Zaniroli and Grand Prix star Patrick Tambay - not to mention multiple winner Jacky Ickx, now behind the wheel of a Lada Niva?
