Peppermint Soda (UK-import)
French drama directed by Diane Kurys which draws on her own experiences to portray a year in the lives of two sisters: 13-year-old Anne (Eléonore Klarwein), who is quiet and introverted, and 15-year-old Frédérique (Odile Michel), more outgoing and already into adolescent affairs with boys. The sisters grow up in Paris during the early 1960s in the care of their divorced mother. They navigate their adolescence with curiosity and frustration, from their fleeting love interests and experiencing their first periods to cheating at school and wearing stockings in order to fit in and feel mature.
