Harriet Walter, Brenda Blethyn and Nicholas Le Prevost star in this television drama written by Ian McEwan. When 19-year-old Cathy Raine (Walter) decides she wants to do her bit to help the war effort, she signs up to the Auxiliary Territorial Service and is stationed at Bletchley Park where she and her fellow trainee soldiers are put to work transcribing transmissions from the Germans.
